Enteractive Languages Festival Performances

Language of Alchemy, (Talisman) 2004

Performance. We cast and distributed bronze medallions amonst the crowd,directing viewers attention to a happening upstairs.

 

There, the participant could witness an alchemical performance where their talisman could be mysteriously imbued, effectively changing the appearance of the metal from bonze to something else (such as silver). The act of pouring the metal was projected behind the performers, and the whole performance was live video fed over the crowd below at the Bossa Nova Ballroom. Portland, Oregon.

Language of Harmonics, 2005

 

We created an interactive sculpture which demonstarated resonant frequency to the participant and visually interpreted their physical manipulations over the device through a theromin controller.
